Job Description
Geriatric Inpatient Psychiatric RN - Geriatrics

Schedule:

- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (36 hours per week)
- Weekends:
Every other weekend required

Assignment Details:
- Average daily census: 25 / 25 beds
- Documentation system:
Epic
- Orientation: 32 hours

Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in both geriatric psychiatric inpatient and medical/surgical (MS)
- Valid NH state nursing license required

- Certifications:

BCLS/BLS and CPI required

- Experience with Foley catheter care, wound care, and incontinence care
- Comfortable managing mobility deficits and IV fluids/therapy

Roles & Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to geriatric patients with cognitive impairments and psychiatric diagnoses.
- Conduct regular safety checks and engage in patient observation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and evaluate patient responses.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress.

Compliance / Notes:
- COVID-19 vaccine is not required; flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
- Drug screen must be completed within 14 days of start
- Local rule:
Travelers living within 50 miles accepted at local rate (note: $15 rate decrease for travelers within 50 miles)
