This position oversees Emergency Department operations within a well‑established acute care hospital serving a diverse community population. The ED supports a steady volume of patient visits annually and offers a full spectrum of emergency and trauma services. The organization is recognized for its specialty programs, strong clinical outcomes, and collaborative partnerships across EMS and multidisciplinary care teams.

ABOUT THIS OUTSTANDING CAREER OPPORTUNITY- Provide operational and clinical leadership for a busy Emergency Department
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, productivity, and day‑to‑day department operations
- Foster a collaborative, patient‑centered culture focused on safety, quality, and service excellence
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, retention, and professional development of nursing staff
- Ensure competency validation, staff education, and ongoing clinical development in partnership with education teams
- Monitor and improve key quality and performance metrics, including patient satisfaction, throughput, and clinical outcomes
- Drive process improvement initiatives and participate in quality committees and performance improvement planning
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
- Support shared governance and staff engagement through councils and advisory committees
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, EMS partners, and hospital leadership
- Participate in leadership rounding, environment of care rounds, and safety initiatives
- Manage department budgets, FTEs, and resource allocation to meet operational targets
- Promote evidence‑based practice, clinical inquiry, and continuous improvement
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; ASN considered with experience
- Master’s degree (MSN) preferred
- Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience required (Emergency Department experience strongly preferred)
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a hospital setting required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 60 days of hire
- TNCC, NRP, and CPI training preferred (or obtained within the required timeframe)
- Certification in Emergency Nursing or Nursing Leadership preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and team‑building skills
- Ability to manage operations in a high‑acuity, fast‑paced environment
