Position Summary

The RN Unit Manager provides leadership and clinical oversight for the nursing unit, supporting resident care delivery, staff development, infection prevention initiatives, regulatory compliance, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This position works closely with the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing to maintain the highest standards of care and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily leadership and 24-hour oversight of the assigned nursing unit.
  • Supervise Licensed Nurses, LNAs, and LMNAs to ensure quality care and adherence to clinical standards.
  • Coordinate and evaluate individualized resident care plans to support optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor physician orders, medication administration, treatments, and documentation accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and all applicable state and federal healthcare requirements.
  • Support staff education, competency development, and Infection Prevention (IP) initiatives.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote continuity of care and resident well-being.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing with clinical operations and regulatory readiness.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and protect resident confidentiality.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and resident-centered care environment aligned with our CHOICES values and mission.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the State of New Hampshire.
  • Previous nursing leadership or management experience required.
  • Long-term care and/or skilled nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and team leadership skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality resident care.
