Aboutthe Job
Anesthesia technicians perform a variety of activities in support of Patient Care, surgery related tasks and support of anesthesia personnel to assist the Department of Anesthesia and Department of Surgery while providing a safe environment for the administration of anesthesia care. They also maintain the supportive continuum of safe anesthesia administration for the patient population from infancy to geriatrics. They ensure the cleanliness of equipment and support patient safety by performing routine equipment checks.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Performs a variety of activities supporting the anesthesiologist and other Operating Room personnel in ensuring the safe and effective administration of anesthetic agents and placement of intravenous lines
- Maintains equipment cleanliness and ensures the safety of patients by performing routine equipment checks
- Provides support to Anesthesiologists, CRNAs and Registered Nurses to ensure collaborative, safe and efficient patient care processes
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Previous relevant experience in OR, or equivalent experience such as EMT, LNA or LPN
- BLS required.
- Medical Technician Certification from the State of New Hampshire required (unless other current NH state license is held).
- ASATT (American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians) Certification preferred and required within 1 year of hire.
