Lead with Purpose. Make a Difference.The Moore Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to provide clinical leadership for our nursing services and support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout our community.
In this leadership role, you will oversee medication administration practices, supervise and mentor our team of Nurse Trainers, ensure compliance with New Hampshire regulations, and serve as the clinical expert for the agency. You'll collaborate with healthcare providers, community partners, and internal teams to promote high-quality, person-centered care while supporting the health and well-being of the individuals we serve.

What You'll Do- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for medication administration in accordance with He-M 1201 requirements.
- Supervise, mentor, support, and develop Nurse Trainers and the Clinics Coordinator.
- Monitor the health, psychiatric, safety, and medication-related needs of individuals receiving services.
- Review nursing documentation, medication records, and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to He-M 1201, the New Hampshire Nurse Practice Act, Developmental Disabilities Nurses Association standards, state regulations, and agency policies.
- Teach or oversee monthly Medication Administration training for staff.
- Serve as the Area Agency Nurse in accordance with The Moore Center's contract with the Bureau of Developmental Services.
- Act as the primary clinical liaison with community healthcare providers, including Greater Manchester Mental Health's Medication Administration Clinic.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community agencies to enhance access to healthcare resources.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
What We're Looking ForEducation & Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Hampshire required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of five years of full-time experience as a Nurse Trainer supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or equivalent community health nursing experience.
- He-M 1201 Nurse Trainer Designation required within 45 days of hire.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Valid New Hampshire driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic database systems.
- Ability to maintain required continuing education and licensure requirements.
