Registered Nurse - Preop/PACU
Location:
Manchester, NH
Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
Shift: 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Job Description:
The Preop/PACU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care for individuals undergoing procedures within the hospital, including those receiving general anesthesia. This role requires both preoperative and postoperative patient management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition pre- and post-operation.
- Administer medications, including anesthesia, as prescribed while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to discuss patient care and recovery plans.
- Document patient care activities accurately in the Meditech Expanse documentation system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current RN license in the state of New Hampshire.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred.
- Experience in critical care or PACU settings is highly desirable.
