Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong Med/Surg skillset and a commitment to providing excellent patient care. This position is focused on patient assessment, IV medication administration, postoperative care, and various nursing skills.
- Perform head-to-toe assessments and develop patient care plans.
- Administer IV medications including Lasix, heparin, metoprolol, diltiazem, and insulin.
- Manage wounds, drains, and vacuum-assisted closure (VAC) devices.
- Provide care for NGT/G tubes and parenteral nutrition.
- Manage central lines, including PICC, hemodialysis catheters, and midlines.
- Oversee Foley, nephrostomy, and suprapubic catheter care and ostomy management.
- Participate in daily MDRs and collaborate with the healthcare team to promote patient care excellence.
- Current RN License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous Med/Surg experience preferred.
