Number of Beds –23 with 1 treatment room
Number of Staff – 58
Type of staff:
o Day Shift – (CNC/Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 2 PCT, 1 MT, and 1 Dept Co till 7pm)
o Night Shift - (CNC/Charge Nurse, 5 RNs, 2 PCT, 1 MT)
Patient Ratios – Days/Eves RNs (1-4) Nights (1-5)
Type of equipment – Telemetry monitoring with some rooms hard-wired; vein finder for IV therapy, portable pulse oximetry, as well as, continuous oximetry, manual/automatic vital sign machine capabilities, blood glucose, mechanical lifts, dopplers, etc..
EMR –Allscrilpts, medication scanning capabilities, soft-lab
Patient Population - Cardiac Medical patient population:
Hemodynamically stable MI, acute/chronic HF, new onset Afib with or without RVR, stable dysrhythmias, procedural patients:
Cardiac caths (radial or femoral) without interventions, Ablations, Cardioversions, ICD, Pacers, medication loads, Cardio MEMs, peridcardial drains, as well as, patient's requiring cardiac gtts (Amio, Dilt, Dopa renal dose, Dobutamine, Milirone, Lasix up to 40mg, insulin drips). Additional patient populations include ICU transfers, neuro patients (CVA), pulmonary patient's requiring Bipap, Hi-flow and Salter.
Skill Set Most recruited for:
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Cardiac Telemetry knowledge
ACLS
Knowledge/skill set for Cardiac medical, procedural patients (caths), and cardiac drips
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Cardiac telemetry skill set
Strong Medical-Surgical knowledge/background with telemetry
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Cardiac caths (Left/Right, femoral/radial approach) without intervention
Pacers, ablations, cardioversions, EP studies
Caridac drips:
Amio, diltiazem, renal dose dopa, dobutamine, milirone, Lasix, and insulin drips.
Engaging, team oriented, flexible/adaptable, and patient centered.
REQUIREDCERTIFICATIONS:
ACLS
Floating Area(s):Floating within alike areas
Dress Code:Scrub Color/Attire - hospital scrubs
