American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications plus hospital ED experience.
Details- Emergency Department setting with 4 secure Annex beds, 25 procedure rooms, and 8 hallway beds used around the clock
- Patient population includes multiple comorbidities, complex cardiac conditions, DKA, sepsis, trauma, stroke, and psychiatric patients
- Patient ratio of 4:1 with flexibility during acute surges
- Uses U/S for IV insertion, Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis
- EMR system is Sunrise/Allscripts
- Shift schedule is 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM over a 12-week assignment
- No floating required
- Every other weekend required for contract RNs
- Active RN license (NH or compact) required at time of consideration
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital ED experience required
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills required
- Working knowledge of EKG interpretation preferred
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Provide emergency care across trauma, stroke, cardiac, psychiatric, and general medical cases
- Perform procedures including laceration repair, orthopedic trauma care, U/S guided IV insertion, IO insertion, eye exams, and EKGs
- Work under chief-complaint-based protocols allowing initiation of labs, EKGs, x-rays, and medications prior to physician evaluation
- Scrub attire required with no hooded shirts or sweatshirts for safety reasons
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
