Description:
No Thanksgiving requested time off.
The position is contracted to care for inpatient/CICU level holds.
The patient population includes:
- Chest Pain
- Syncope
- Heart Failure
- Sepsis
- Overdose
- GI Bleed
- COPD
- Pneumonia
- Medical, Surgical, Trauma, Oncology, Orthopedic as overflow
- Post-catheterization with stents only
- ICD/Pacer insertions
- Cardioversions
The nurse will manage and titrate common drips, including Lasix, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Integrillin, Labatolol, Dopamine, and Dobutamine.
Special equipment includes:
Bipap, Cpap, Vapotherm, Alaris Pumps, and Phillips Monitoring System.
The position requires a team nursing approach and floating to similar units when necessary.
Patient ratios and staffing expectations are to be followed accordingly.
