As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will serve as a vital guardian of product excellence, ensuring every component meets rigorous engineering specifications. You will leverage your technical expertise in precision measurement and systems compliance to drive continuous improvement and uphold the highest standards of manufacturing integrity.
Responsibilities- Execute comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections to verify component compliance with strict quality benchmarks.
- Perform and document First Article Inspections (FAI) to validate production readiness and process accuracy.
- Apply GD&T principles to interpret complex engineering drawings and balloon models for precise measurement.
- Manage the calibration lifecycle for essential tools and inspection gages to ensure measurement reliability.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis to investigate quality deviations and implement effective corrective actions.
- Maintain adherence to AS9100 and AS9102 quality management systems to support operational excellence.
- Provide technical mentorship and training to junior team members to foster a culture of quality awareness.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing quality inspection role.
- Strong proficiency in GD&T application and interpretation.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain high levels of manual dexterity.
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency status.
- Hands-on experience with CMM programming, specifically using Hexagon systems.
- Proven ability to verify certificates of compliance and manage documentation.
- Strong collaborative skills with a focus on cross-functional communication.
