Retail Pharmacy Account Manager (RPAM)
Responsibilities
- Develop durable business and deepen collaboration with Retail Pharmacy field leaders to grow appropriate use of Pfizer Primary Care Retail Pharmacy products.
- Identify shared objectives, align resources, and deploy solutions to achieve targeted national, regional, and district goals.
- Initiate and cultivate relationships with key retail pharmacy field leaders (e.g., divisional VPs, regional/district leaders, clinical directors, field trainers, field operations).
- Create mutually beneficial business opportunities; develop stakeholder-driven plans of action.
- Tailor account management approaches to each account; prioritize opportunities/projects to maximize impact.
- Train and compliantly share externally-facing performance data with approved field leaders; use PHDT to identify immunization opportunities.
- Conduct account planning and manage projects (e.g., Valkre); implement and measure impact of customer-aligned projects and education.
- Progress Operationalization across Communication, Education, Patient Identification, Execution, and Stocking.
- Generate sustained immunization initiatives by aligning RC-approved resources; support pull-through via workflow engagement tools.
- Analyze market trends/competition and apply insights to account interactions.
- Execute marketing programs using RC-approved materials.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (TAD, Sales, Marketing/CCG, Medical, Legal/Compliance) and share/scaling best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years pharmaceutical or retail-related experience (sales and marketing).
- Valid US driver’s license; ability to travel up to 50% (domestic, overnight as needed).
- Demonstrated achievement of product performance objectives.
- Experience leading through influence in matrix environments and engaging executive-level decision makers in large accounts.
- Strategic thinking; develop/write/communicate/monitor stakeholder business plans.
- Strong project/program management skills.
- Excellent communication skills to explain public health argument/clinical value proposition.
- Individual contributor accountable for matrix leadership within local geography; live within approved geography/commutable distance.
- Advanced degree.
- Prior account management experience in retail pharmacy or large organized customers.
- Base salary range: $162,900–$271,500; bonus target 20% of base; 401(k) with match and additional retirement contribution; paid time off; medical/prescription/dental/vision and caregiver/parental/medical leave.
