- Secure trucks on lifts and ramps
- Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes, and replace minor parts
- Perform tire and brake maintenance
- Occasionally road-test vehicles
- Use U-Haul Company’s proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist and technology to assess and care for field vehicles
- Lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following supervisor directives and guidance
- Participate in a paid hands-on working interview
- Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred
- Driver’s license
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills
- Regular attendance
- Ability to work safely and remain alert at all times
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted
- Ability to move frequently, stand, sit, and move beneath equipment
- May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, or shields
- U-Haul will not hire or re-hire individuals who use nicotine products where applicable under state law
Demonstrates basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience, with the ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire and brake maintenance, and using proprietary electronic pre-inspection technology. Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team while adhering to safety protocols.
