Software Engineering- Co-Op- Summer​/Fall

DEKA Research and Development, housed in Manchester, NH, has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineering Co‑Op to work in a dynamic Research and Development environment. This position will give exposure to several different aspects of software development including test automation, hands‑on troubleshooting, implementation based on software requirements, and working on a product that directly improves users’ lives.

DEKA offers Internships and Co‑Ops for full‑time students (must be at least 18 years of age). This position is for a 6+ month rotation for the Summer/Fall semester starting in June 2026 (6 months).

• Improve automated testing through investigation and code debugging
• Perform verification and validation activities using automated software testing and test fixtures
• Use software engineering knowledge to solve issues found in embedded and test software
• Support development of software
• Learn about software processes and utilization of development tools

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent program
• Must have successfully completed at least one year of programming course(s)
• C++ programming experience a plus
• Python programming experience a plus
  
  Must be a self‑starter eager to contribute in a team environment
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be detail oriented
