Hospital Services Technician

WM is hiring a Full-Time Hospital Services Technician to support safe, compliant handling of hospital waste and recyclables. In this role, you'll collect, sort, label, and transport materials from hospital units to designated staging or loading areas, following strict infection control and safety procedures. You'll operate carts or basic equipment, complete simple logs, and partner with hospital staff to ensure clean, efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Collect and transport regulated medical waste, recyclables, and solid waste from hospital units to staging or loading areas
• Follow infection control, PPE, and safety protocols in all handling and movement of hospital materials
• Sort and segregate waste streams according to hospital and WM guidelines for compliant disposal or recycling
• Label, document, and maintain basic records for containers, pickups, and transfers
• Inspect carts, containers, and basic equipment; report issues or safety hazards promptly
• Collaborate with hospital staff to schedule pickups and respond to service requests
• Maintain clean, orderly work areas and storage or staging spaces
• Support WM and hospital sustainability and recycling initiatives while meeting regulatory requirements
