Salary Range: $72,000 - $108,000 / year

Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant III supporting TOS II at Arnold AFB in Tennessee. The Accountant III will be a member of an integrated team responsible for the BNH accounting functions supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts at Arnold Engineering Development Complex.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be part of the team responsible for maintaining accounting and financial records for BNH. The job includes working with the General Ledger team to reconcile accounts, identify and analyze data, and resolve problems. The successful candidate should possess the following:

  • Advanced knowledge of and experience related to general accounting functions
  • Proficient in fundamental accounting concepts and principles
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
  • Costpoint experience
  • People Soft Financials experience
  • Capable of managing responsibilities and completing tasks independently
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a large and diverse workforce
Job Duties
  • Maintain varied accounting and/or financial records
  • Ensure established controls are followed and transactions are processed as directed
  • Prepare, review, and interpret all types of accounts and records of financial transactions
  • Analyze accounting or financial data; present and support findings and recommendations
  • Prepare routine working papers, schedules, exhibits, and summaries
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Examine a variety of recording and reporting documents and summaries to verify accuracy and conformance with specific functional, corporate, contract, government, or professional accounting requirements
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other duties as required
Basic Qualifications
  • BS degree in Accounting or related degree with a concentration in accounting and a minimum five years of progressive and relevant experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Current U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft applications – Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Active clearance.
  • Experience with Costpoint.
  • Experience with People Soft Financials.
