Your Role at Batesville:

Directs and coordinates the manufacturing activities of a particular shift or section of the plant by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff.

The expected base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, skills, experience, and location.

What You'll Do Responsible for administration of systematic, proactive safety program

Assures capacity is available to meet production schedules on-time, while meeting quality specifications and also meeting delivery schedules

Provides leadership to meet budgetary goals.

Analyzes daily production and operating reports and facilitates countermeasures to resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to meet policy deployment objectives.

Responsible to ensure process to develop and revise standard work, job instructions and process controls, and also confirms workers comply with standards.

Provides leadership in teaching and developing the organization in lean manufacturing principles,Provides leadership to develop organization, and procures high levels of talent to meet company strategy, as well as tactical plans.

Assesses, analyzes and provides interventions to improve human performance.

Provides communication, resources, development, and human resource support to assure union avoidance techniques are effective.

Provides leadership to provide consistent enforcement of plant work rules.

Resolves worker issues at lowest level in a consistent, unbiased proactive manner.

Manages 5-8 subordinate Group Leaders who oversee other shifts or areas of the production department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance to the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Other duties may be assigned.

What You'll Bring:

Education Bachelor's degree (B.

A.) from four-year college or university; or eight years similar experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills/Experience Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply such concepts as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software.

Travel Employee must be able to travel up to 25 % of the time.
