Night Porter

Hours: Night shifts, typically 11:00pm–7:00am

Contract: Permanent

We are looking for a reliable, responsible, and customer-focused Night Porter to join our team at a Bed & Breakfast and Theological College in Manchester.

Working overnight, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of our guests while supporting the smooth running of the hotel outside regular daytime hours. You will provide a welcoming presence at reception, respond to guest needs, carry out security checks and cleaning duties, and prepare the hotel for the following day.

This is a varied role that requires someone who is comfortable working independently, can remain calm and professional in unexpected situations, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of guest service and hotel presentation.

• Good spoken and written communication skills.
• Basic IT skills, including email and the ability to learn booking or hotel management systems.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly during overnight hours.
• A professional and customer-focused approach.
• Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays, and provide holiday cover as required
• Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, hotel operations, or a similar environment.
• Experience working night shifts or in a lone-working role.
