The group proudly owns and operates Albert's Restaurants, Dukes 92, Woodlands Hotel, Soughton Hall Hotel, Longridge House and Hello Hotel.
The Maternity Cover - Head of Weddings and Events is a 12 month contract, on-site role based in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom. This role oversees the weddings and events function across relevant venues and travel to these venues are required.
The role also involves monitoring sales performance, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, tracking revenue and budgets, and contributing to marketing initiatives to grow the weddings and events business.
Qualifications- Demonstrated experience in weddings and events management, including planning, coordination, and on-the-day delivery across multiple venues.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and support on-site teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Excellent client-facing communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, manage expectations, and provide a highly personal service.
- Proven organizational and time-management abilities, including handling multiple events, managing detailed schedules, and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Commercial awareness and financial skills, such as tracking event revenue, working within budgets, and supporting sales and marketing activities.
- Confidence working collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house leadership to deliver consistent, high-quality guest experiences.
- Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, or restaurants is highly beneficial, particularly within weddings and private events.
- Ability to work on-site, flexibly, including weekends and evenings as required by the events schedule.
- Strong IT skills, including familiarity with booking systems, event management software, and standard office applications.
- Relevant qualifications or training in hospitality
