Manchester Marriott Victoria & A Hotel, a striking Grade II listed iconic building in the vibrant Spinningfields District, offers 148 stylish hotel rooms and suites with modern amenities. The V&A is the home to Chop & Plant our casual drinking and dining destination, offering a blend of Chop House classics and plant-based dishes with a focus on local produce and sustainability.
We have flexible event spaces, including outdoor terrace, small boardrooms and banqueting for up to 200 people.

- Greeting all guests and escorting them to their tables
- To ensure food orders are taken correctly; processed accurately and appropriate payment is received
- To ensure all food & beverages are served efficiently, in accordance with the set standards and time scales
- Buffet services are kept in pristine condition and fully replenished
- Be able to recommend menu items, accompaniments, beverages & wines with knowledge
- Ensure that any allergens or dietary requirements have been highlighted or identified
- Set up conference and events areas, as per the Business Event Order sheet
- Complete check of area of work prior to opening for cleanliness, correct set up & mis-en place in place.
- Communicating with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any complaints
- Ensure work area is properly prepared for the next shift before leaving your shift
- To follow correct procedures when answering the telephone & welcoming guests into your area of work
- Process all payment methods in accordance with accounting procedures and policies
- Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures (e.g., blind drops)
- Previous experience working within a hotel restaurant (preferred)
- A warm and genuine individual who enjoys putting people first
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work in line with the needs and demands of the business
- Someone who wants to grow and develop within the company
