The SATURN Centre for Doctoral Training at the University of Manchester invites applications for a PhD on an integrated molten salt treatment strategy to remove, recover and reuse radionuclides from irradiated salts and graphite wastes arising from advanced modular reactors. The work aims to cut secondary waste and improve graphite recycling in UK decommissioning.
Eligibility requires at least a 2.1 honours degree or a master’s in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
