Joiners​/Fabric Maintenance Operatives

Vox consultants are recruiting for a Joiner/Fabric Engineer to join one of our clients in Manchester.

This role is Monday to Friday - 40 hours week.

• Carry out maintenance and repairs to structural elements such as walls, floors, windows, doors, roofs, roads, and footpaths with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to building fabric and safety‑related features, including fire doors and compartmentation.
• Undertake basic first‑fix tasks across trades following appropriate training.
• Manufacture, assemble, and install general carpentry and joinery, including secure locking systems.
• Complete glazing, plastering, wall cladding, and ceiling repairs as required.
• Ensure all work complies with current safety standards, legislation, and organisational procedures.
• Participate in on‑call duties, emergency callouts, overtime, and follow‑on tasks using digital devices.
• Drive company vehicles when required.

• NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry & Joinery, City & Guilds Advanced Craft, or equivalent experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Satisfactory DBS clearance and availability for on‑call duties.
• Experience fault‑finding, reading drawings, and repairing plant or equipment.
• Strong organisation, communication, teamwork, and the ability to work independently or under pressure.
