About the Role
We are recruiting an electrically‑qualified Crane Service Engineer to join our team based in the East Midlands area.

- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electric overhead travelling cranes.
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns.
- Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues.
- Complete appropriate documentation through your mobile device.
Report to the Operations Manager.
The role involves the maintenance, repair and upgrade of our customers' lifting equipment, primarily overhead gantry cranes. Work is varied; two days are rarely the same.
Qualifications- Apprentice‑trained (or equivalent) and conversant with electrical engineering disciplines.
- Mechanical knowledge.
- Previous experience with overhead cranes and hoists preferred; maintaining, repairing and servicing equipment in an industrial environment is essential.
- 39 hours per week Monday‑Friday; weekend overtime earns double time.
- Great communication skills; personable as there is regular customer contact.
- Health & Safety awareness.
- Ability to work at height.
- Willingness to work extra hours (paid overtime).
- Hold a current driving licence.
- Willingness to work on the on‑call rota with enhanced premium.
