We are looking for an HVAC/Chiller Service Technician to join our service team. The role focuses on troubleshooting, supporting breakdowns, and commissioning standard products, mainly industrial water chillers, to provide a high-class service to customers.
Responsibilities- Run large sites single-handedly or by supervising other technicians, to the full satisfaction of the customer.
- Demonstrate and provide expert support in one of the following disciplines: general theory and technical support, centrifugal compressor rebuilds, absorption chillers, controls chiller sequencing.
- Fulfil the standard commercial and technical aspects of the contract without supervision.
- Troubleshoot and support technically challenging breakdowns, in person and via computer or phone linkups.
- Commission standard and large capacity products, and advise on wider system installation and identify system issues beyond the scope of supply.
- Attend and participate in customer meetings with little or no supervision.
- Review complex technical documents, such as wiring diagrams, P&, and pressure-enthalpy diagrams, to a fully competent level.
- Experience in a similar HVAC role, especially with large industrial water chillers.
- Qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- Full UK Driving licence (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds or equivalent in Safe Handling or Refrigerants.
- F Gas qualified (Cat
1). - Technical competence with relevant experience of Carrier and other manufacturers’ equipment.
- Experience with in a Technician role in the HVAC industry.

The annual salary for this position is between £36,800 and £46,800 per year. Factors that may affect pay within this range include skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
