What will I be doing as a Service Technician?- Run large sites single‑handed and/or supervise other technicians to the full satisfaction of the customer.
- Demonstrate and provide expert support in technical disciplines such as general theory, technical support, centrifugal compressor rebuilds, absorption chillers, and controls chiller sequencing.
- Fulfil the standard commercial and technical aspects of the contract without supervision.
- Troubleshoot and support technically challenging breakdowns, both in person and via computer or phone linkups.
- Commission standard and large capacity products; advise on wider system installation and identify system issues beyond the scope of supply.
- Attend and participate in customer meetings with little or no supervision.
- Understand and review complex technical documents such as wiring diagrams, P&, and pressure‑enthalpy diagrams to a fully competent level.
- Experience with in a similar HVAC role, especially large industrial water chillers.
- Qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning.
- Full UK driving licence (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds or equivalent safe handling or refrigerants qualification.
- F‑Gas qualified (cat
1). - Technical competence with relevant experience of Carrier and other manufacturers’ equipment.
- Experience with in a technician role in the HVAC industry.

Pay Range – The annual salary for this position is between £36,800 to £46,800 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation – This position may be entitled to short‑term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements. We offer a competitive total rewards package that may include other benefits and well‑being programmes.
