We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable main dealer franchise in Manchester for the position of PDI Technician.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals seeking to join a respected Van Centre committed to quality and customer satisfaction.

- Competitive basic salary, negotiable depending on experience - £2,500 joining bonus for technicians - 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday with Saturdays on a rota basis
- Working in a modern workshop equipped with up-to-date diagnostic and repair tools

- Carry out Vehicle Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards
- Conduct vehicle maintenance, safety checks, and repairs to the highest standards
- Inspect vehicles to identify wear and damage, recommending necessary replacements
- Provide technical advice and communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle status
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed as a PDI Technician
- Collaborate with service reception and workshop control to ensure smooth workflow
- Assist and support colleagues in the workshop to promote a positive team atmosphere
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 3 years’ main dealer experience as a technician
- Proven proficiency in using diagnostic equipment
- Thorough understanding of vehicle safety standards and guidelines
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to meet productivity and efficiency targets
- Full UK driving licence
