Are you a qualified HGV Technician looking for a new opportunity for one of the big six truck manufacturers in the UK?

Do you have previous experience of working with HGVs, ideally in a workshop environment?

We are recruiting for a 4 on 4 off
Technician
to join our team in
Manchester
on a full time permanent basis.

In this role you will:

  • Interpret instructions from the job card/repair order and to comply with repair instructions and stipulated settings and tolerances from manufacturers manuals, bulletins, check sheets etc.

  • Attend training and to keep abreast of the latest technical information which is circulated or displayed.

  • Accurately report and record work done and tests carried out and to immediately report any further work required or vehicle faults.

  • Protect and maintain all tools and equipment by only using them in the prescribed manner and returning them to their place of storage immediately after use.

  • Immediately report any loss, shortage, damage or malfunction of tools and equipment or if any additional tools or equipment are required to complete the repair.

  • Protect and take care of customers and the company's property.

  • Maintain allocated work areas in a clean and tidy condition and to remove all scrap etc. immediately upon completion of each repair.

  • Provide information, maintain records and carry out all duties in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

  • Undertake such other tasks as may reasonably be required

  • Enhance the image and reputation of the company whilst supporting its commercial interests

  • Comply with good health and safety practice, all statutory requirements, company policies and standard procedures

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Apprenticeship completed

  • Experience in a similar role

  • Valid work permit

  • Computer skills

  • In-depth knowledge of the truck industry

  • Fluent English
