We are seeking an experienced and motivated PSV Technician to join a busy engineering team in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to play a key role in maintaining a modern fleet of buses and coaches, ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant and ready for service.

Working within a professional workshop environment, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections, servicing, diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance across the fleet, helping to minimise downtime and maximise vehicle reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on buses and coaches.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
Complete MOT preparation, safety inspections and vehicle defect rectification.
Repair and replace components including brakes, suspension, steering, driveline, engines and gearboxes.
Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults efficiently.
Accurately complete job cards, maintenance records and workshop documentation.
Ensure all work is completed in line with DVSA regulations and vehicle safety standards.
Support breakdown recovery and urgent vehicle repairs when required.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maximise fleet availability and minimise downtime.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a PSV Mechanic, PSV Technician, Bus Mechanic, HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Good understanding of DVSA regulations and vehicle safety standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK Driving Licence.
PCV Licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
Positive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
