Solar PV Electrician

Birchwell Associates is working with a growing renewable energy company looking to expand its team with experienced Solar PV Electricians across Manchester and Greater Manchester. This is a permanent opportunity for an electrician with hands-on Solar PV experience to join a business delivering a mixture of domestic and commercial solar installations . Youll be responsible for electrical installation, testing, commissioning and fault finding across Solar PV projects, working independently and alongside wider installation teams to deliver work to a high standard.

The Role As a Solar PV Electrician, your responsibilities will include:
Installing and commissioning Solar PV systems Working across domestic and commercial solar projects Carrying out AC and DC electrical installation works Installing and commissioning inverters Testing, inspection and certification Fault finding and remedial works Installation of battery storage systems Working from electrical drawings and specifications Ensuring installations comply with current electrical and safety standards Liaising with customers, site teams and project managers where required

What Were Looking For Were looking for electricians with previous experience working within Solar PV or the wider renewable energy sector. Ideally, you will have:
Previous Solar PV installation experience NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent 18th Edition Strong electrical testing and fault-finding skills Experience working across domestic and/or commercial properties A good understanding of Solar PV systems and inverters High standards of workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a wider installation team Full UK driving licence

Experience with battery storage, EV charging or commercial Solar PV installations would be particularly beneficial.
