Monday to Friday, 06:30 - 16:30 Job Type: Permanent Vehicle Technician / Mechanic - Rochester We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a busy and professional workshop in Rochester. Working as part of an experienced workshop team, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with approved repair methods.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Vehicle Technician who is passionate about the automotive industry and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities Carry out general servicing and maintenance of vehicles. Undertake tyre changing duties across a variety of vehicles. Carry out road and ramp testing and vehicle inspections when required. Diagnose faults and problems on vehicles. Carry out electrical diagnosis where required. Complete repairs in line with approved repair methods. Restore vehicles to their original condition and ensure all work meets the required standards.

Deal with warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standards. Plan and organise your workload effectively to meet deadlines and maintain efficiency. Assist with general workshop duties when required. Accurately complete all relevant documentation. Follow company procedures, health and safety requirements and workshop standards. Support junior technicians and share knowledge and expertise where required. About You The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or in a similar role. City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) - essential. Full UK Driving Licence. Experience carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs. Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

Experience with electrical vehicle diagnostics would be advantageous. Excellent attention to detail. The ability to work independently and make decisions when required. Strong time-management and organisational skills. A willingness to support and mentor junior technicians. A genuine passion for the automotive industry. Pride in producing work to a high standard.
