£40,000 - 45,000 Basic + Overtime + Annual Bonus

Our client, a well-established engineering business based in the West Manchester area, are looking to recruit a Pipefitter/Welder to join their close-knit engineering team on a permanent basis.

Working alongside another Pipefitter and within a team of six engineers, you'll carry out a mixture of pipe fitting, fabrication and welding work, while also supporting the maintenance team with planned maintenance, breakdowns and site improvement projects.

This is a varied, hands‑on role with plenty of overtime available, allowing most engineers to earn around £50,000 per year.

• * £40,000 - 45,000 basic salary
• * Typical earnings over £50,000 with overtime
• * Annual company bonus (subject to company performance)
• * Overtime paid at 1.5x Monday to Saturday and 2x on Sundays
• * Additional payments for confined space work
• * Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
• * Regular overtime available before and after shifts (many engineers work approximately 7:00am - 5:00pm) and Saturday mornings
• * Full training provided for FLT, Confined Space and Cherry Picker licences where required

• * Pipe fitting, fabrication and installation work
• * Welding using MIG and Stick (MMA)
• * Working on predominantly 2
  -4  pipework
• * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• * Supporting the maintenance team with repairs and planned maintenance
• * Assisting with plant and equipment improvement projects

• * Time-served Mechanical Engineer or Pipefitter with a recognised apprenticeship or engineering qualification
• * Experience of pipe fitting and fabrication
• * Competent MIG and Stick (MMA) welder
• * Able to read engineering drawings
• * A team player with a flexible approach to supporting the wider engineering function
