As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you'll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding and commissioning of fire alarm systems across commercial buildings.
You'll work independently and alongside a professional engineering team, delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and small project works while providing outstanding customer service.
This role also includes participation in a shared out-of-hours call-out rota with an additional standby payment.
Key ResponsibilitiesService and maintain commercial fire alarm systems
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Respond to reactive call-outs and fault finding
Install, commission and upgrade fire alarm systems
Diagnose faults and complete repairs
Complete testing and compliance checks
Produce electronic service reports and certification
Ensure all work complies with current fire safety regulations and British Standards
Liaise professionally with customers and site teams
Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times
Proven experience working on commercial fire alarm systems
Strong electrical knowledge and fault-finding experience
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
CSCS Card
Full UK Driving Licence
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
FIA qualifications
JIB Gold Card
Experience with in Facilities Management or Building Services
Experience with addressable and conventional fire alarm systems
Experience with leading manufacturers such as Gent, Advanced, Morley, Kentec, C-Tec, Notifier, Apollo or similar
