Test & Inspection Electrician
Location:
Manchester
Salary up to £48,000 (DOE) plus company van, fuel card, enhanced pension, healthcare and 26 days holiday excluding statutory days
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Test & Inspection Electrician to join a growing team.
This role is ideal for a qualified electrician with strong experience carrying out electrical testing, inspection and EICRs (Electrical Installation Condition Reports) across a range of commercial and/or domestic environments.
You will be responsible for completing thorough inspections and testing, identifying defects and producing accurate condition reports, ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
- Undertake electrical inspection and testing of existing installations.
- Identify electrical defects, non-compliances and potential safety issues.
- Accurately record test results and produce detailed EICR reports.
- Carry out remedial works where required and within your competence.
- Ensure all electrical work is completed in accordance with BS 7671 and current regulations.
- Provide clear explanations of findings to customers and clients where required.
- Maintain accurate records and certification.
- Work safely and professionally while representing the company on customer sites.
- Ensure all testing equipment is maintained and calibrated appropriately.
- Relevant Level 3 Electrical qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent recognised testing and inspection qualification.
- Proven experience completing EICRs.
- Strong understanding of electrical installations, testing procedures and fault finding.
- Experience identifying C1, C2, C3 and FI observations.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on electrical safety.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
