Field Service Engineer (Heat Treatment)
Nationwide UK Coverage | Permanent | Full-Time
£45,000 – £50,000 + Company Van + Overtime
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a growing industrial equipment business, providing nationwide service and technical support for industrial ovens.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in industrial ovens, industrial heating equipment or associated process machinery, looking for a varied role with excellent earning potential through overtime.
Experience with industrial ovens is extremely desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out installation, servicing, maintenance and repairs on industrial ovens.
- Attend customer sites nationwide to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
- Commission and test equipment, ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Carry out fault-finding across electrical, mechanical and control systems.
- Provide technical support and advice to customers.
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work undertaken.
- Travel nationwide, including overnight stays where required.
- Work closely with internal engineering and technical teams to resolve customer issues.
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or similar technical engineering role.
- Experience working with industrial ovens is extremely desirable.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience working with industrial heating equipment, furnaces or associated process machinery would be advantageous.
- Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs independently.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable with nationwide travel and overnight stays.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Salary: £45,000 – £50,000.
