Electrician opportunity!

We have an exciting new opportunity for a permanent Electrician to join us on our responsive repairs and maintenance team at the Amplius Housing branch.

This will be covering a patch of social housing properties across Northamptonshire and/or Peterborough and surrounding areas, therefore travel is essential.

Core working hours are Monday to Friday Start at 8.00am-4:30pmWe provide a competitive salary + Company Van, Fuel card and Power Tools.+ Generous paying ON CALL Rota (Approx. 1 week in every 6-8 weeks)

Fortem’s successful contract with Amplius Social Housing Association supports nearly 15,000 properties, This includes Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Complex Works and FRA work streams with additional Planned Works and Preventative Maintenance as well.

• Taking ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.
• Carry out all aspects of maintenance and repairs on all electrical engineering services as required, ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of Supervision.
• Installing, servicing and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations
• Installation, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and have the ability to fill in correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report
• Carry out EICRs and remedial upgrades to properties.
• Completing reactive maintenance work as per the specification.
• Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required.
• Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects.
• Completing daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken.
• Provide excellent customer service to both tenants and clients.

Essential criteria:

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical (2356) with AM2 portfolio to support your experience (not just EAL)
  This can be a combination of C&G 2360 Part 1&2 Electrotechnical Competences plus the NVQ 3 Certificate 2356 with Technical Certs L2&3 plus the NVQ 3 Certificate or just the NVQ 3 2356 certificateC&G 18th Edition Certificate Full UK driving license
  
  Must be able to pass a Basic DBS Check

Desirable but not essential:

• Unvented Hot Water Certificate Water Regulations Certificate Part P
• JIPB H&S Test Certificate with Current JIBP card
• Testing & Inspecting Certificate 2391 or C&G 2377
• PAT Certificate
