Are you an experienced Mobile Vehicle Technician, Mobile Vehicle Mechanic or Mobile Vehicle Fitter looking for a new opportunity?
Our client is a well-established and reputable commercial vehicle fleet company seeking a skilled technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong individual who enjoys working independently and servicing a varied commercial vehicle fleet.
THE ROLE
As a Mobile Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across a range of commercial vehicles, working directly at customer and fleet locations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on commercial vehicles HGV and LCV.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
Attend mobile breakdowns and complete roadside repairs where required.
Carry out inspections and identify vehicle defects.
Complete repairs to a high standard, ensuring vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
Carry out quality checks following repairs.
Maintain accurate service, repair and inspection documentation.
Liaise professionally with customers and fleet operators.
Work closely with the wider workshop and technical team.
Manage daily workload effectively while working to agreed timescales.
Maintain high standards of Health & Safety at all times.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful as a Mobile Vehicle Technician, you will ideally have:
A recognised vehicle technician/mechanical qualification.
Previous experience working on commercial vehicles.
Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs.
Your own suitable tools and equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
A proactive approach to fault finding and problem solving.
Strong Health & Safety awareness.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Flexibility to work in a mobile/field-based environment.
SALARY & BENEFITS
