Job Description

BRSU is seeking energetic, enthusiastic and responsible Extracurricular Aides to support students in Grades K-7 attending our 2026 Extended School Year (ESY) program(s) this summer! Under the direction of the Program Lead, the Extracurricular Aide assists in supervising students, supporting instructors, and facilitating regularly scheduled extracurricular activities during summer programs for students with disabilities. Organized activities may include (but are not limited to) school-based tasks, small group social activities, extra support during community outings, facilitating participation in recreational activities.

This position plays a key role in fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where students can explore learning beyond the classroom through recreational, creative and academic activities, utilizing basic student management skills and motivation techniques when supporting assigned student(s) in a variety of settings. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, dependable, and enjoy working with students in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

The Extracurricular Aide will work five (5) hours per day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:00am to 1:00pm. The expected dates of employment are July 7, 2026 through July 30, 2026.

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Must be at least 16 years old
    • Experience leading groups of children with the capacity to engage and inspire
  • Preferences: At least one year of experience is preferred
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
