Preschool Early Childhood Educator

Northshire Day School is currently hiring a full-time Early Childhood Educator to work in our (2–3-year-old) classrooms, 8:30am-4:30pm at our 5 STARS early childhood education program in Manchester Center, Vermont. Applicants must be enthusiastic and have a passion for working with and educating young children, the ability to create a safe and nurturing environment, proficient written and verbal communication, knowledge about the STARS program, TS Gold, early childhood licensing regulations, and planning and implementing a play-based curriculum. Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualified candidates must be enthusiastic, flexible, motivated and committed to working in the field of early education and the willingness to complete the required coursework to become a qualified educator. Preferred candidates will have skills and education in child development and learning, building family and community relationships, observing, documenting and assessing children, using developmentally appropriate practice, building quality curriculum following the Vermont Early Learning Standards, ensuring a healthy and safe environment and a commitment to growing as an early childhood professional.

Must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates must be available to work between the hours of 8:30am-5:30pm.

Candidates must be available to work between the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm. Position will begin immediately and is a year-round position. Candidates must have completed a minimum of 12 college credits in Early Education or related field and have experience working with children ages 0 to 5. Candidates with an A.A. or B.A. in Early Childhood Education preferred. Will consider highly motivated Trainee with a High School Diploma and a commitment to complete all required coursework.
