Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union is seeking a passionate, student-centered Limited Term Kindergarten Teacher to inspire young learners and develop a strong academic and social-emotional foundation at Taconic Elementary School School! In this role, the Limited Term Kindergarten Teacher will create a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.

The Limited Term Kindergarten Teacher will deliver developmentally appropriate instruction in the four core content areas of the curriculum that meet the diverse needs of all students while fostering independence, collaboration, and resilience.

As an integral member of the school community, the Teacher works closely with colleagues, families, and support staff to ensure each student thrives. Aligned with Vermont’s commitment to educating the whole child, this role blends strong academic instruction with social-emotional learning, community connections, and innovative teaching practices into the daily work.

Applicants are expected to know current instructional research and evidence-based instructional practices. Strong candidates will demonstrate a student-centered approach, exemplary oral and written communication skills, strong relationship-building skills with students, and a commitment to working collaboratively with all colleagues. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering rich mathematical learning experiences to elementary school students in a public school setting.

Annual Salary Range:

• $51,000 to $95,370, based on education level and years of experience; prorated in accordance with FTE

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Elementary Education
  • Holds or is eligible to hold a Vermont Teaching License with appropriate endorsement in Elementary Education
  • Prior experience delivering elementary instruction OR middle grades instruction across all four core content areas
• Preferences:
  • A Master degree in Education is preferred
  • Participation in a state approved and accredited Educator Preparation Program with recommendation for licensure in Elementary Education is preferred
  • VT AOE Licensure in Elementary Education Grades K-6 (1-00) is preferred
  • At least two (2) years of proven experience delivering elementary instruction in a public school setting is preferred
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
