Job DescriptionThe Orvis Company is seeking Seasonal Summer Fly Rod Manufacturing Associates to join our team in Manchester, Vermont, helping craft world-renowned fly-fishing rods.

Position SummaryThis position reports to a Rod Shop Production Lead or Supervisor and collaborates closely with Rod Shop associates and the management team.
Key Responsibilities- Represent the Orvis brand and uphold the company’s core values
- Perform tasks involved in the manufacturing of Orvis fly rods, including:
- Cutting, cleaning, and painting rod sections
- Assembling and installing reel seats and cork handles
- Affixing guides to rod blanks
- Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Follow established specifications and meet production goals
- Maintain a safe, organized, and team-oriented work environment
- Complete additional assignments as directed by Rod Shop leadership
- Must be at least 18 years old, and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks and use small hand tools
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand and move throughout the workday
- Collaborative, adaptable, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or detailed hands‑on work
- Familiarity with hand tools or craftsmanship-related work
- Interest in outdoor recreation or appreciation for quality craftsmanship
