Mechanical Project Engineer – Data Center

Olsson is a multidisciplinary design firm focused on building large hyperscale data center campuses throughout the United States. The Data Center team tackles some of the largest and most complex engineering‑driven projects, providing critical infrastructure for technology and connectivity.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a project manager on some engagements and lead design engineering on others.
  • Prepare planning and design documents, including schedules, cost estimates, and technical deliverables.
  • Process design calculations and develop detailed engineering drawings.
  • Maintain team and client standards and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Lead quality assurance/quality control activities and act as an advisor on complex projects.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, professional staff, technical staff, clients, and external consultants.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of mechanical engineering experience in large data center or related infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency with Revit and other BIM tools.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Must hold a registered Professional Engineer license.
  • Passion for delivering quality projects that positively impact communities.
