Tax Specialist

Farm Credit Services of Mandan is hiring a full-time Tax Specialist in our Mandan location. We are a member-owned cooperative committed to serving rural America.

This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for serving production agriculture and delivering exceptional customer service. The Tax Specialist is responsible for providing tax preparation, planning, and consultation services to agricultural clients.

• Accurate tax preparation and compliance
• Tax planning expertise

• Customer service & relationship building
• Provide accurate tax planning and preparation services to clients
• Review client financial information, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state tax requirements
• Meet with clients throughout the year to discuss tax strategies and answer questions
• Provide timely, high-quality customer service and maintain strong client relationships
• Educate and support clients regarding tax reporting, recordkeeping, estimated payments, and regulatory requirements
• Partner with credit officers and internal teams to identify any tax-related needs
• Manage and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, client needs, and department objectives
• Collaborate with team members and support the promotion and delivery of department products and services

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field preferred
• Two years of tax preparation, accounting, or related experience preferred
• An acceptable combination of education and experience
• CPA or Enrolled Agent status or ability to attain that upon employment required
