Solutions Architect

We are looking for a senior Solutions Architect who will translate customers’ IT needs and future goals into actionable plans, design complex IT solutions, and lead their implementation. In this role you will help transform the way the U.S. Army uses technology, including cloud migration, integrating advanced technology, and modernizing legacy systems.

• Translate customers’ IT needs and future goals into a comprehensive solution plan.
• Design and architect large‑scale enterprise solutions that integrate disparate technologies and enforce security controls.
• Lead technical delivery, including modernization efforts for the Department of Defense, federal government, or commercial entities.
• Mentor developers and guide teams toward becoming future solutions architects.
• Shape the digital solutions business and identify opportunities for growth.

• 8+ years of experience designing large‑scale enterprise solutions and integrating disparate technologies.
• 8+ years of experience in analysis and design of complex IT solutions, including integration or interfacing between multiple software applications, processing platforms, and software products.
• 5+ years of experience working with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience authoring technical artifacts such as logical and physical network diagrams, technical specifications, and system installation procedures.
• Experience implementing solutions with modern system architecture principles, including microservices.
• Experience in business development, aligning enterprise systems with government evaluation criteria and statements of work.
• Experience modernizing enterprise software delivery in support of digital transformation.
• Experience managing technical delivery and modernization efforts within the DoD or federal government.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of software engineering experience, or 8+ years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.

• Experience working closely with software development teams.
• Experience with project, task, and team leadership.
• Experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods.
• Experience evaluating architectural tradeoffs and designing robust service‑based software applications for scalable enterprise production use.
• Experience with full‑stack development in a professional environment for enterprise production capabilities.
• Knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS models.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent listening skills.
• Master’s degree.
• AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certification, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification.
