Closing Technician

Job Description Summary

Perform a variety of tasks in the closing process of the blade.

• Perform closing tasks following work instructions.
• Wear all personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety instructions regarding chemical usage.
• Remove infusion bag from shells using crane.
• Prepare shells for closure – vacuum all debris in shells, side grind flange area, apply brackets, and mark up all areas.
• When shells are repaired and prepped, apply glue to flanges and web.
• For demoulding of the blade, remove root plate and install demould ring on root along with aerial lift to remove blade from mould using cranes.
• Wear designated personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety guidelines.

• Ability to lift or carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to push or pull heavy objects.
• Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Ability to work with hands for an extended period.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Requires wearing a respirator.

• High School Diploma/GED or related experience.
• Previous manufacturing experience.

Position Shift: Mon-Fri. 6am-2:30pm
