Starting Pay: $25.58 - $28.23 per hour (DOE)

Employee will become an integral member of the maintenance crew working under the direction of the Maintenance Shop Foreman. Responsibilities include maintaining professionalism; inspecting, maintaining and repairing all equipment utilized by the Eddy County Road Department, Vector Control, Sign Department, and Environmental Services Department. Must have a minimum of two years' experience in the service and maintenance of light, medium, and heavy-duty equipment, both gasoline and diesel.

Must be able to read accurately all gauges on tools and equipment and make correct judgments in the operation of equipment. Must be able to read and understand maintenance manuals, publications, work orders, blueprints, and schematics. Responsible for documentation of inspections and repairs performed; acquisition of the necessary parts, equipment, and tools; maintenance of a safe and clean work area;

fabrication of various tools, equipment, parts, and materials; continuous learning of maintenance and repair procedures; safe operation of all tools and equipment; daily activity reports and equipment records. Must be able to perform all duties in an individual or crew environment, in the shop or field. Employee may be required to work irregular hours, overtime, attend job-related meetings in and out of state, and perform other duties as assigned.
