Job Overview
This position is for a Community Corrections Specialist at Centre, Inc. The role involves direct interaction with residents in a residential reentry setting, monitoring and accountability, and documentation to ensure compliance with program expectations.
Compensation and Benefits
* BONUS* This position is eligible for a bonus up to $8,000 for full‑time employees and $4,000 for part‑time employees. The bonus is paid in two parts: (1) following the successful completion of the six‑month probationary period ($3,000 for full‑time employees; $1,500 for part‑time employees) and (2) following one year of employment ($5,000 for full‑time employees; $2,500 for part‑time employees). Full‑time employees must maintain full‑time status throughout the entirety of their first year to receive the full‑time bonus, and part‑time employees must average 16 hours per week to be eligible for the bonus.
- Pay: $19.00 to $24.00 per hour (depending on experience)
- Health and Welfare: eligible for a fringe benefit of up to $5.09 per hour (up to $407.20 per pay period)
- Overnight shift differential: $2.50 per hour
- 100% employer‑paid medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance for full‑time employees
- Paid vacation and sick leave
- 11 paid holidays per year
- Double‑time pay on holidays worked
- 401(k) with company match up to 6% (subject to age, hours, length of service)
- Sign residents in and out of the facility and verify approved movements
- Confirm employment schedules and other approved activities
- Monitor resident accountability through GPS systems and other tracking tools
- Conduct breath tests, urinalysis testing, and other compliance checks
- Perform pat searches, room searches, and vehicle searches
- Complete incident reports and document resident activity
- Maintain safety and security within the facility while interacting professionally with residents
- Some college education focused in Criminal Justice, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- Preference given to candidates with at least two years of experience in criminal justice treatment programs.
- Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet use.
