Description
We are growing and looking for a Petroleum driver within a 100-mile radius of Mandan ND to deliver petroleum-based products in bulk, transport them via semi-truck and trailer, and unload products at various customer locations. The position has a schedule of Tuesday thru Saturday. Start time would be flexible.
Responsibilities- Loading petroleum products at refineries, ethanol plants, and bulk storage facilities.
- Unloading petroleum products at numerous customer locations such as gas stations, airports, refineries, and bulk storage facilities.
- Ability to pump on and off petroleum and ethanol products using a power take off.
- Dropping, hooking and connecting trailers to the semi-truck, including manually raising and lowering dolly legs on the trailer with up to 50 pounds of torque resistance.
- Hooking up hoses and fittings to load and unload these petroleum products safely and securely.
- Checking customer tank levels prior to unloading to make sure tanks do not fill past 90% ullage.
- Properly using vapor recovery hose at all loading and unloading locations.
- Reaching, pulling and pushing petroleum hoses weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Climbing up a ladder on the trailer to check tank levels and make sure the load is secured.
- Maximum weight the ladder can accommodate is 450 pounds, with 200 pounds at the top of the trailer.
- Climbing in and out of the semi-truck using three points of contact.
- Loading exactly what petroleum products, appropriate quantities, and correct suppliers on all loads per dispatch instructions.
- General conversations in English with dispatchers, customers, and loaders to accommodate their needs.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs; stooping, bending, twisting, pulling, grasping.
- Climbing; prolonged sitting.
- Valid Class A CDL driver’s license with tanker and hazmat endorsement.
- Approved medical card via DOT certified doctor, PA, or chiropractor.
- DOT 49 CFR 171-180 (formerly HM-126) training.
