Traveling Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead a 16-week interior fit-out project in the Mandeville, LA area, with subsequent projects requiring travel throughout the Southeast (primarily LA, MS, AL, GA, FL, and TN). This is a field-based leadership role ideal for a hands‑on, safety‑focused superintendent who excels at managing subcontractors, maintaining schedules, and delivering quality commercial projects while living away from home during the work week.

• Lead all on‑site operations for commercial construction projects, starting with a 16‑week interior fit‑out.
• Manage daily field activities, subcontractor coordination, and project schedule adherence.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and contract specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections, progress meetings, and quality control reviews.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
• Proactively identify and resolve field issues to keep projects on time and within budget.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
• Travel to project locations throughout the Southeast as assigned.

• 5+ years of traveling superintendent experience in commercial construction (required).
• Strong background in interior fit‑outs, tenant improvements, or ground‑up commercial projects.
• Proven ability to successfully manage projects while traveling and living out of hotels/Airbnbs.
• Deep knowledge of construction methods, building codes, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• OSHA 30 certification and other relevant safety or construction certifications preferred.
• Willingness to travel Monday–Friday (or as required by project) throughout the Southeast.

• Competitive base salary of $100,000 – $135,000 DOE
• Per Diem package covering gas, room and board, and living expenses while traveling
