Role Description
The Front Desk Associate is a full-time, on-site position based in Mandeville, LA. In this role, you will greet guests, handle check-in and check-out procedures, and respond to guest inquiries in person, by phone, and via digital systems. You will process payments, verify reservations, and maintain accurate guest records using property management software. Daily responsibilities include answering phones, providing local information, addressing guest concerns, and coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and guest satisfaction.
The role also includes monitoring lobby cleanliness, following safety and security procedures, and supporting other front desk and administrative tasks as needed.
- Strong customer service skills, including a welcoming demeanor, patience, and a solutions-focused approach.
- Effective communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with guests and team members.
- Phone etiquette and receptionist duties skills, including professional call handling, message taking, and front desk coordination.
- Computer literacy, including basic proficiency with reservation or property management systems, email, and common office applications.
- Ability to handle cash and electronic payments accurately, with attention to detail in record keeping.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage check-ins, guest requests, and administrative tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Previous front desk, hospitality, or customer-facing experience is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hospitality or customer service is a plus.
