Early Learning Center Assistant Coordinator
Church of the King is seeking a caring, organized, and mission-minded Early Learning Center Assistant Coordinator to support the daily operations of our licensed Early Learning Center. This role partners closely with the Early Learning Center Director to ensure a safe, nurturing, and well-organized environment for children, families, and staff while helping maintain compliance with Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Early Learning Center Director with the daily operations of the Center.
- Support staff by helping coordinate classroom assignments, schedules, and daily needs.
- Help ensure all Church of the King policies and Louisiana licensing requirements are followed.
- Assist with staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development.
- Build positive relationships with parents by providing excellent communication and support.
- Help maintain a safe, healthy, and secure learning environment for children and staff.
- Assist with purchasing supplies, organizing materials, and maintaining inventory.
- Help ensure required documentation, incident reports, and licensing records are accurately.
- Support classroom staff by providing resources, encouragement, and problem-solving assistance.
- Be available to assist with opening and closing the Early Learning Center as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Previous experience working with children in an early childhood setting is required.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- A servant's heart with a passion for supporting children, families, and staff.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Candidates should meet, or be willing to obtain, the training required by the Louisiana Department of Education.
- Willingness to complete all required continuing education and state licensing requirements.
